Recently, I was grinding various tree stumps at Bambers Green, near Takeley, Dunmow, Essex. There was a variety of tree stump’s ranging from a sycamore tree stump to an apple tree stump. The whole root ball and more were removed to make way for a landscaping project. More often than not, unless the tree stump is exceptionally large, the whole root ball can be removed through grinding.
Once the tree stumps have been groundout, the chippings and the soil are pushed back into the hole created by the tree stump. Be aware that when a tree stump is ground out, and the chippings and soil is pushed back, it will often leave a raised area. However, the area quickly sinks down after a few months. In certain cases, the chippings on the soil can be removed, but the easiest way is just to leave the chippings and let them rot down.
Grinding a tree stump is the cleanest way and easiest way to remove a tree stump in a garden. Providing I have large enough access to enter your garden, no tree stump is too large.
